This is my review of Hostel 2 & 3 I hope you enjoy. More reviews coming real soon. Hostel Part II Director:Eli Roth Stars:Lauren German,Heather Matarazzo,Bijou Phillips Three female college students take a detour from their partying, enticed by a beautiful European woman who promises seclusion, safety and maybe even romance. What they get is a living hell where they are sold to the highest bidder who’s fondest wish is to kill them slowly. Hostel 2 also follows 2 American men who, on the flip side of the coin, are willing to pay to join an exclusive club where a life will end at their hands…any way they like. It’s a story of human monsters and the almighty dollar as only Eli Roth could tell it. Hostel Part III Director:Scott Spiegel Stars:Kip Pardue,Brian Hallisay,John Hensley While attending a bachelor party in Las Vegas, four friends are enticed by two sexy escorts to join them at a private party way off the Strip. Once there, they are horrified to find themselves the subjects of a perverse game of torture, where members of the Elite Hunting Club are hosting the most sadistic show in town.

The Universal appeal of Orlando

Article by Adam Singleton

The area surrounding Orlando, Florida is one of the world’s hottest tourist destinations, welcoming almost 50 million visitors per year. Its literally hot too, with a subtropical climate – summer temperatures regularly reach 90°F (32°C), while even in winter they rarely drop below 50°F – and hundreds of unique theme parks and tourist destinations, as well as attractive natural features such as springs, lakes and sandy beaches, all contributing to its success.

Nearby Lake Buena Vista is home to Walt Disney World, the most visited resort on Earth. It includes four separate theme parks, two water parks and many hotels and restaurants, with enough rides, slides and other entertainments to occupy children for at least a week – aside from the main rollercoasters and arcades, there are more varied attractions such as the ‘Animal Kingdom’ wildlife park, hang gliding, and a lagoon where you can snorkel with live sharks!

Another of the area’s most popular destinations is Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure, which hosts high-speed roller-coasters, rides for younger children, live shows and technological marvels such as interactive 3D environments, all based around favourite movies, cartoons and stories. Jurassic Park, Spider-Man, E.T., the Incredible Hulk, Dr. Seuss and Jaws are all here, with a new Harry Potter-themed area coming soon.

Animal-lovers are well catered for in Orlando at the huge 200 acre SeaWorld amusement park which houses many marine creatures such as orcas, dolphins, sea lions, sharks, sea turtles and false killer whales, with shows including water skiing and human acrobats, and ten rides. Nearby Gatorland boasts thousands of alligators and crocodiles, along with many snakes, other reptiles, insects and birds. Visitors can get closer to some of the park’s residents during the regular ‘Up Close Encounters’ with trainers and there’s even a chance for anyone over 12 – and fearless – to have a go at ‘gator wrasslin’ in the Trainer for a Day events. And at Blue Spring State Park, during the winter there’s a chance to see Florida manatees in the wild as well as a huge variety of birds and other wildlife. Canoeing, swimming and scuba diving are popular activities.

There are simply hundreds of other things to do in and around Orlando: slightly older children may enjoy the Florida Music Festival, a visit to the Cirque de Soleil, the huge Orlando Science Center or the John F. Kennedy Space Center, the working NASA spaceport on Merritt Island where visitors can view flight-ready and used space craft and rockets. On a less technological note there are stunning sights at the World of Orchids and the beautiful Harry P. Leu gardens – an oasis in the city with lakes, a butterfly garden and historical museum.

Unsurprisingly for such a popular destination, there is also a huge range of accommodation in Orlando and the surrounding area, from hostels to 5 star hotels and private villas – in fact, the only place in the country with more hotel rooms is Las Vegas. It’s also a fantastic area for shopping, with everything from Tiffany’s to the specialist Asian shops and restaurants of ‘Little Saigon’, and food including traditional Cajun, Cuban-style and round the world cuisine.

Article by Connie Boling

With a pretty comfortable subtropical climate, high tech malls and facilities, booming literacy rate and economy, Orlando, has been attracting students, employees, permanent residents and tourists like no other city. Few cities in the US have progressed as much in the last 30 years as the city of Orlando in Florida. Nicknamed “The City Beautiful” and with its motto, “Built for Families, Made For Memories”, this city attracts 25 million tourists each year. With attractions like, The Universal Resort Orlando, Walt Disney World Resort, and Sea World it has become one of the most famous spots in America.

Orlando is also a major site for conventions and conferences, and has the largest number of hotel rooms available in the United States, after Las Vegas, Nevada. However many hotels are located just outside of the cityscape and in spite of rapid urbanization and redevelopment programs, the downtown area of the city remains basically free from the effects of the commercialization that surrounds it. Check out the Amerisuites Orlando, Microtel Inn and Suites, suburban Extended Stay South, the Peabody Orlando, JW Marriott, Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress Resort, and the Fountains. They provide all the luxuries of 5 star hotels, along with complimentary breakfast multi-cuisine lunch and dinner options, as well as chauffeur driven cars. The Universal Orlando Resort has three star rated hotels, along with several clubs and all the other facilities of ultra luxurious hotels, all in a price range that is easy on the pocketbook. Walt Disney Resort is also pretty comfortable, with vacation rates still lower than most major theme parks in the world, and highly entertaining too. There are plenty of lodging options for the budget traveler as well. Check out the Palm Lakefront resort and Hostel with a tariff plan of 20 dollars and up, that provides free shuttle transport to Disney World. It is on a lake, has clean pools, good barbecued food and is close to the business and transportation center of Orlando. The New Alliance, Vacation Lodge, Sun style Suites, Econo Lodge, Vacation Lodge, Motel 6 are other great options to check out.

Restaurants in Orlando are equally tempting. In City Walk, a part of the Orlando Resort check out Margarittaville, NASCAR Grille, Hard Rock Café and Pastamore. For delicious Thai and Indian cuisine try the Thai villa and the Khasiyat Indian Cuisine. Visit Stefano’s Trattoria for personalized attention and recommendations regarding food. Other recommendations include Garden Café, Bubbalou Bodacious, Calypso bar and Grille and Rosie’s pizza.

The rate of unemployment in Orlando is extremely low, at about 3.1 percent, which is due to the rapid growth in economy centered on tourism, engineering Industry, development in film, television and games industry.

The Orange County Public Schools Division has opened hundreds of public schools and there are several other important private schools like the First Academy, and Trinity Preparatory School. Along with the state run University of Central Florida and innumerable private colleges and universities it is becoming one of the central spots of education in US.

The presence of several churches like the First Presbyterian Church, First Methodist Church, Harvest Baptist Church have influenced religiously sensitive people to move to Orlando and has also contributed to its rapid growth and development.

The real estate scenario of Orlando provides far greater options than any other city in the US. In the downtown area you can get a 2 bedroom, 1 bath condo unit starting from ,000 dollars. You can also rent small houses and apartments at reasonable prices. However don’t forget to contact a good Real Estate agent for expert advice and up-to-date rates of properties.

Should you decide to purchase your dream home in Orlando, finding a great moving company may be on your list of priorities. Hilldrup is one of the most experienced and one of the best moving companies in Orlando. San Diego: America’s Finest City

Article by Paul Buchanan

The USA is home to some of the most splendid cities on Earth. From east to west there are the likes of Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Chicago, Dallas, Las Vegas, Seattle, San Francisco and Los Angeles – all world renowned cities attracting millions of visitors each year. Moreover, each of these cities is famous for at least one thing, whether it’s skyscrapers, movies, gambling, beaches, music or any combination of these.

Indeed, America perhaps has more than its fair share of splendid cities, and one of these perhaps doesn’t receive the acclaim it deserves.

Situated on the southernmost point of California on the Pacific coast is San Diego, America’s seventh largest city by population and one that is certainly worth a visit. Like other US cities, San Diego has its own unique offerings and curious facts, making it a remarkably understated city with plenty to offer.

Firstly, there’s the weather. San Diego is often considered to have the best climate in the whole of the USA, with warm dry summers and mild winters – in short, the city rarely gets exceedingly hot or cold. It’s a very pleasant place to be all year round.

With 70 miles of beaches, San Diego is a great place to relax in the sunshine, but this city isn’t all about sun, sand and sea. Without the throngs of tourists that plague many other parts of the country, San Diego is a great place to sample one of America’s true great Hispanic cities. Indeed, the Mexico border is only about seventeen miles from the centre of San Diego hence it’s possible to sample a little bit of authentic Mexican culture in a short day trip to Tijuana.

San Diego was the first place to be settled by Europeans on the western coast of the country and today it is California’s second largest city – but it has a very homely, small town atmosphere and it feels a lot more laid-back than the neighbouring (relatively speaking…) cities of LA and San Francisco. Importantly, the city has a very young and dynamic population, with a median age of 32 and two-thirds of San Diego is under the age of 35.

Furthermore, a third of the city’s workforce is degree-educated and it has an employment rate of 96%, making it a very attractive destination for those thinking of setting up home here – indeed, it’s easy to see why San Diego has been nicknamed ‘America’s finest city’.

Of course, most visitors won’t be looking to reside here permanently, meaning that hotels in San Diego<a/> are always in great demand – and luckily, there is plenty of choice, from budget beachside bungalows and hostels, to large city centre palaces.

San Diego is also home to one of the world’s biggest and most impressive zoos, with more than 4000 animals covering almost a thousand species. San Diego Zoo is truly an amazing place to visit and makes any journey to this fantastic city one to truly remember.
