At about 4:30am Friday morning in Las Vegas Joy and I bumped into Ron Jeremy and Helen Bed. Surprisingly, Ron invited us to the AVN stars after party in the Circle Bar at Hard Rock Hotel. When Ron Jeremy personally invites you and your girlfriend to the biggest adult film event in the world’s after party YOU SAY YES. I can’t tell you how polite, personable and fun Ron Jeremy is. I found out that before he joined the adult film business he was a special education teacher. Anyway, the poor guy was exhausted but still had enough energy to pose for photos with the people who kept coming up to the table just to get a shot with the most famous adult film star today. Here we are at breakfast in the Hard Rocks 24/7 cafe. We talked a bit about marriage and a few other “things”. He enjoyed listening to Joy’s story and spontaneously serenaded her with harmonica. In the background you’ll hear our field producer, Kelly, ordering his third triple Red Bull and vodka at 6am. He was the only one in our party drinking! To my right was a very rich guy named Adam. We spent a lot of time talking the deeper meaning behind science fiction. Star Trek, B-5, Dune, Star Wars, Blake’s 7…what? No one cares about THAT conversation? humph. The girl in the middle goes by Helen Bed. She was really sweet and Joy and her hit it off really well. She’s been friends with Ron since 1997, a traveling headliner and of course has been in a number of movies She was in Vegas for AVN and to pass out a few invites …
