This is the boat pickup location in the Renaissance Marina Hotel lobby for the 10 minute trip to the private island. These guys are great at navigating the boats around and getting the passengers safely to Renaissance Island. I highly recommend this hotel in Aruba. We had a great time on our honeymoon!

Mini Marathon or… Mega Marathon.. :D you tell me. Beautifully Broken Chapter 240 -Joe- I woke up the next morning, just looking at Bridget and her new tattoos. They really were something, and they made her look even hotter now.. Damn. I lifted up her tank top a little and traced the worded tattoo on her side, reading along as I did so. She moved a little and I looked at her, smiling more. I loved having my hands on her. Her skin was so soft, she drove me nuts. She moved again, closer to me and I slid my arm around her, pulling her against me. “Hey..” “Hi..” She slid her arms around my neck, pressing herself against me. I chuckled a little and pulled her on top of me, where she sat up, covering her eyes with her hands. I rubbed her sides a little, then rested my hands on her hips. She moved her hands, looking at me and I smiled. “You’re so beautiful in the morning.” I told her. “I am not.” “You are. Don’t argue with me.” I said, smiling. “So we’re going to spend a week in Vegas. Kevin texted me the details, we leave tonight.” “Tonight?” “Tonight.” I said, to her. -end pov- -Nick- Everyone was dressed kind of appropriately for a first night in Vegas. Since we thought it’d be a little bit more intelligent to fly everyone in a private plane, that’s what we did. Me, Alexa, Bridget, Joe, Kevin, Ashley, Selena and Scooter, Tony and Leah too and then Jake. He came because Bridget made him come. So far, the flight was going great. “So do we know what hotel we’re staying at

The History Of Texas Holdem Poker

Article by Adel Awwad

Texas Holdem is a variety of Poker, a card game which originated in the 19th century. The origins of Poker are still disputed to this day, with a number of conflicting accounts about where it came from, and who first played it; similar games exist back to the Renaissance period. The word ‘Poker’ actually comes from the German word ‘pochen’, which means “to knock”.

However, most accounts generally agree that it was French settlers who first played Poker in New Orleans around 1830. It may have been introduced to them by Persian traders, as it bears strong similarities with the 16th century Persian card game As Nas. The popularity of Poker meant that it quickly spread throughout the USA, along the transport routes of rivers and railroads. It became especially popular when played amongst cowboys in the Old West.

Texas Holdem, or Hold’em as it is also known, is today one of the most popular versions of Poker in the world. Although nobody is really sure where this version was first played, it seems clear that Texas was the state of origin! Some reports say that the first ever game was played in Robstown in the 1900s and it spread to Dallas in 1925. Texas Holdem has enjoyed widespread recognition ever since.

The popularity of Texas Holdem was widely increased in 1970. In this year, the Horseshoe Hotel and Casino was opened in Las Vegas by Benny Binion. Binion decided to take over a small invitational Poker tournament from Riverside Casino’s Tom Morehead. What as the name of the tournament? The World Series of Poker and the game of choice was Texas Holdem.

Binion focused on the gambling element of the game by devising the idea of rapidly increasing antes and blinds, so that a winner could be produced within a relatively short space of time. In 1972, 8 players took part in the World Series of Poker tournament; thirty years later, the 8 had increased to 800! This annual tournament is now recognised as the most important in the world. In the last five years, the increasing popularity of televised tournaments means that Texas Holdem has become a part of mainstream television.

Additionally, through modern innovations in technology, Texas Holdem Poker has branched off in new directions. Games can now be played directly through the internet, or even on a cell phone! The game’s simplicity and huge entertainment value have contributed to its popularity, which shows no sign of decrease. Texas Holdem is clearly the most famous Poker game in the world.

Manufacturing Powerhouse Milwaukee, Wisconsin

Article by Howard Giske

Milwaukee is a medium sized city is south-eastern Wisconsin, on Lake Michigan, with
a population of almost 600,000, and 2,000,000 people in its metropolitan area. It is
sometimes known as the brew city, for historically being the home base of several well-known
beer breweries. Miller Brewery still has its headquarters and a large brewery in the city.
Fortune 500 companies in Milwaukee include Johnson Controls, Northwestern Mutual, Manpower
Inc., Kohl’s, Harley-Davidson, Rockwell Automation, and MGIC Investments. In fact, the
Milwaukee metropolitan area ranks high in the United States in terms of the number of
Fortune 500 company headquarters located there. Milwaukee also has a large number of
financial service firms, particularly those specializing in mutual funds and transaction
processing systems, and a disproportionate number of publishing and printing companies.
To this day, a fairly high percentage, over 20% of the workforce is in the manufacturing sector.
Milwaukee homes are located in a diverse assortment of neighborhoods.

Milwaukee’s Central Business district is known as Eastown and includes a number
of new skyscrapers such as the Northwest Mutual Life Building and of the U.S. Bank Center.
Milwaukee’s historic city hall was built in 1895 and reflects the design of a German city
hall of the period. It is in an ornate German Renaissance revival style, and is topped
by a bell tower. Also on the East side of town is the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

The renovation of the Milwaukee art museum opened in 2001, where the architecture of the
museum itself is a work of modern art. The new wing, the Quadracci Pavilion, is designed
by Santiago Calatrava and it consists of a 90-foot high glass reception hall which has on
its roof a Burke Brise Soleil, which is a huge sunscreen that can be raised during the day,
and lowered at night and other times, with both utility, and the effect of a large moving
sculpture. The “wings” also flap open at noon, for visitor’s enjoyment. The full wing-span
of this structure is 217 feet, wider than a Boeing 747, and weighs 90 tons. Museum
collections go from ancient art, to early European art to Modern art. Milwaukee is
also home to the Pottawatomie bingo casino, and its Northern Lights Theatre is known for
its sensational Las Vegas style shows.

The Miller Brewery is still open and has its headquarters in Milwaukee, where visitors
can take a tour of the plant. The lovely old Pabst mansion, built in 1892, is an historical
site and a tribute to the grandeur of Milwaukee’s beer industry in its heyday. It also has
on display a rare art collection.

The University Hill neighborhood, also known as Avenues West, is the home of Marquette
University. This area is west of downtown, and has been undergoing a substantial amount
of urban renewal and gentrification. For example, the Ambassador Hotel has been totally
refurbished and turned into a first class establishment. Marquette University is a
private Catholic College run by the Jesuit order. The University is known for its top
Nursing education program and other medical school programs. It also has a respectable
law school and business school. Milwaukee also is the hometown to the Milwaukee Brewers
baseball team, and the Milwaukee Bucks basketball team.

Worldwide Travel Tips to South Africa: Sun City & Lost City

Article by Ina Smit

Sun City and Lost City rises from the dust of scrubby countryside, appearing like a mirage in the desert and shimmering in the African sun. It takes center stage in a volcanic valley surrounded by the Pilansberg mountains. An open invitation to inspect this haven on your worldwide travels.

The Sun City Resort Complex was the inspiration of Sol Kerzner, South Africa’s hotel genius. He began with a firm belief in the power of tourism and a multi-million dollar investment to build this ultra-luxurious African vacation getaway in 1980. Features like tropical gardens, a flamingo lake, rushing waterfalls and a Sky train has become synonymous with Sun City and a later add-on, the Cascades.

The Lost City was Sol Kerzner’s supreme fantasy and was added a few years later. It has become the mystical, awe-inspiring structure portraying a local legend with a gentle people occupying an old city. You seem to be entering an extraordinary world when crossing the bridge to the city, which looks like it is thousands of years old. Burning torches are placed at regular intervals on the bridge, you can hear the roar of lions and the trumpet of elephants, and from time to time you can even feel the earth tremble when crossing the bridge.

Huge, lifelike elephants guard the center palace. The palace is adorned with Renaissance frescoes, mosaic floors, hand-carved furniture, towers of faux tusks and palm fronds and is lit by thousands of candles. Among the “ruins” you will find a mystical black pool overlooking the rest of the city and one can almost imagine beautiful princesses bathing there.

Sun City is the South African equivalent of Las Vegas with gambling as its main attraction and is about three hours drive from Johannesburg. Overall, it is like a huge, luxurious adult amusement park with assorted great stage extravaganzas at night. In short, a place to play and with beds for 2000 guests when the day is done.

The play does not stop indoors though. Outdoors you will find two championship golf courses, one with crocodiles at the thirteenth hole and which was designed by the legendary Gary Player.

Furthermore you can explore the 55 000 hectare area of Pilansberg National Park which lies in an ancient volcanic crater and is the third largest game reserve in southern Africa. Game viewing which includes the big five (elephant, lion, leopard, buffalo and rhino) can be enjoyed from specially adapted four-wheel-drive vehicles or from the heights of a hot air balloon and followed by a sumptuous bush breakfast.

There is no doubt in my mind that Sun City and Lost City is a must see on your next worldwide travel vacation getaway, even if you do not gamble. There are simply so much to see and do and the food is superb. Just one more reason to go.
