The United States of America is also called the United States, the U.S., the USA, America, and the States. It is a federal constitutional republic comprising fifty states and a federal district. The country is situated mostly in central North America. United States is the third largest country in the whole world. There are many amazing cities and plenty of natural attractions to put on must-see list in US. There are many unique and fabulous cities in America that are absolutely worth a trip.

Washington DC

In spring many gardens and parks are in bloom. The city looks very glorious at spring time. You must take a visit to White House. When you are visiting the White House then surly take a tour of the White house Garden and view the Jacqueline Kennedy Garden and Rose Garden. They are absolutely splendid. Sight seeing does not cost much as most of the Washington DC museums and memorials are free.

Boston

Boston is famous for its vibrant neighborhood. All the neighborhoods of Boston have its own personality and distinct appeal; be it from fashionable Back Bay to oldest Beacon Hill, colorful Chinatown to historic North End. It feels like you are reading the history textbook of America after taking a stroll around this city of USA. Billiard Clothing. Pool players seem to like clothing with billiards pictures and phrases.

Billiard clothing is sure to be found at any major pool tournament or billiards trade show. You will find many shirts with pool and billiards pictures and sayings. Hats and visors are also a pretty popular items. Coats and jackets with some pretty cool pics and phrases will be found at these events as well.

I picked up some of my first billiard clothing in Las Vegas (BCA Tournament) back in the early 90′s. I purchased one five dollar raffle ticket and won a 0 shopping spree for billiards clothing. This was pretty cool because one of my friends had just purchased 4 five dollar tickets and I said it only takes one and sure enough I won the raffle.

The following year my girl friend at the time, purchased one ticket from the same vendors while I was shooting pool in a singles match. Sure enough we won again. (What are the odds of that? lol) We picked out some cool jackets on this one and put them on so we didn’t have to carry them around.

We went to the table where my friend was playing a match and he looked up and asked, What’s up with the jackets? He then said, you didn’t win that thing again Jack? I just smiled and said yes we did. He then proceeded to pull about 10 tickets out of his pocket, throw them on the floor and stomp on them.

Winning these two raffles back to back was cool. It set me up with 0 in billiard clothing for . I had shirts, jackets, hats and a few misc. billiards accessories.

I purchase a couple of shirts in Vegas every year. They have the year of tournament, they state that the tournament was at the Riviera Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas and they say North American 8 Ball championship. I am wearing one right now as I type this article.

The other common places to find billiard clothing is in Billiards magazines such as Inside Pool or Billiards Digest. You will also find quite a selection on eBay if you search billiards. Type billiards clothing into Google and you will find many items as well.

If you play billiards in your local leagues, you may want to ask the tavern owner who sponsors your team about getting jackets or shirts or both. I have 4 jackets which I won from the APA tournaments in our area and one jacket which was given to me by the owner of the pool room where we play league. (Diamond Jim’s)

I have more shirts from the various leagues which I have played in than I can count. If you are way into the game as I am, it can be cool to wear clothing that Say’s so. A word of warning however. If you are looking to play for some money, having a shirt on that talks about an 8 ball championship can kill your action.

Billiard Games, Why are they always showing pool on Movies and TV?

Don’t you have to wonder why Billiard Games are always being displayed on various TV shows and Movies? You would think that with all of these plugs the sport as a profession would be more popular.

Billiards is not treated the same as other sports. The top professionals are not paid the same as other sports such as golf, foot ball, basket ball, base ball, etc. Even Poker takes care of top players in a much higher monetary way.

For the person who is not into billiard games as a serious pool player, there is much luck involved in the game. People who only play pool once in a while and never watch it on ESPN feel that the entire game is lucky. Many people will even bet on the game, thinking they are pretty good when they don’t even play shape. (cue ball position)

I love running into this type of player in a tavern out of my home town. They think they are betting on a game of chance. My game does not leave a whole lot to chance. Any serious pool player takes luck out of the equation through practice and education.

The number of good pool players has been on the rise for the last 20 years since I have been playing pool league and tournaments. Table runs were not very common back then. Sure the top players ran out all the time. Now most players in our BCA league are capable of a table run at any given moment.

I hope to see improvements for the future of billiards on the professional level. I love the game and enjoy playing whenever my schedule allows.

I play on 3 teams (one BCA and two APA) and an occasional weekend tournament. I will be shooting in the BCA singles in Las Vegas May 10th to the 13th and then I will be playing in the open Team event for the next several days.

The tournament is held in the Riviera Hotel and Casino. If you are in the neighborhood or just need a trip to Vegas stop by and check it out.
